My research focuses on (ethical) decision making in individual and interdependent settings. I'm interested in understanding the circumstances in which people feel legitimized to behave unethically and what can be done to modify such behaviors. Specifically, I'm interested how justifications for dishonest behavior may lead people to lie while still feeling honest. To address this and related questions, I use experimental games and other behavioral economic methods.
